Walk Details

This walk explores the latest exciting architecture as well as the recently discovered remains of the 2000 year old Roman Wall  and even includes a plague pit where hundreds of victims of the great plague of 1665 still lay


This Walk will visit a variety of sights in the City of London bought to life as we pass by


Starting  at the garden outside the Royal Exchange (opposite the Bank of England) wander past No 1 Poultry, St Mary-le-Bow (Bow Bells), Guildhall, St Mary Aldermanbury, Wood St (with its exciting architecture by Wren, Foster & Pnrs,  Richard Rodgers & Terry Farrell) and Goldsmiths Hall


We pass St Paul’s Cathedral and stop in Pasternoster Square to see the remarkable Temple Bar; then on to the Cockpit and the site where Shakespeare once lived, we walk through once medieval streets, before ending up at the world famous Blackfriars Pub, saved for the nation by Sir John Betjerman
